Farewell Class 10!!
“Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.”
It was that time of the year again, time to say good bye to our class 10 students. The evening started with excitement and anticipation in the air. We setup a photo booth for the students to capture the memories forever. This was the first time ever the children had seen a photo booth. The students were all dressed up for a fun evening. Rajini ma’am kick started the evening with her welcome speech where she stressed on the importance of education and the relevance of education in today’s world. The students then shared a few thoughts on their journey here and were moved to tears at the thought of leaving the Centre. Altaf said that the Centre was like home to him and he would never want to leave home. Sharanya had a lump in her throat and couldn’t finish her speech. It was all very touching..After the pensive sharing came the fun part of the evening. It was a mood elevator. The fun game of pinning the donkey was an instant hit. The children laughed and teased one other. This was followed by fun games like Chinese Whisper, Musical chair, Bombing the city and Housie. The students were excited to win cash prizes. The event was further entertaining when our own Smriti enthralled the audience with some Bollywood hits. The students were treated to a high tea and some of their favorite snacks. Certificates were distributed to the students for completion of the tutorial and creative exercises. All in all it was an unforgettable evening.
