Generation Next is a volunteer-based initiative that encourages low-income youth in Bangalore, India, to engage with their school studies, ranging from science to the arts, while exploring historical, social, political, and environmental dimensions of their lives. Sackhumvit Trust and our volunteers organize workshops, field trips, and classroom activities/lessons with the objective that students have fun while learning, and apply their knowledge in a constructive manner.

By increasing the level of interaction between government schools and civil society members, Generation Next seeks to raise awareness about learning issues at low-income area schools, and mobilize individuals and resources to address these matters. Dream School Foundation has been an important partner organization for this project, providing access to youth at its education and development centres and adopted government schools.
