Finally, this is how the young Ramana Ramachandran summarized the session. "I conducted a coding workshop to acquaint the ninth graders with the basics of programming. I chose to teach them ‘’MIT Scratch” which is a fun tool that introduces block programming through fun animations. The kids were excited to learn the motion, events, control and sound code. They explored altering sprites, backgrounds and costumes. Seeing their enthusiasm, I gave them time to experiment with the program on their own. At the end of the day I held a friendly competition to decide who had the best animation! The workshop was a big hit and the kids were eager to come back for another session."
