A domestic help near our Centre in Bengaluru laments , “I do not know how I am going to feed my family during this time. The little money that we had is over. My husband is a daily wage laborer and we have not paid rent for months. We are borrowing money at high interest rates to make ends meet.” Again it is the women in these households, who face the brunt of adversity. At Sackhumvit we are always keen to help and assist women to learn new skills and look for avenues to generate income. Our Women empowerment programs run through the year and we have reached out to hundreds of women over the years.
