Stitching together a legacy of women empowerment

Sackhumvit Trust has been working towards bringing back the handmade tradition of embroidery and many other Indian dress fashion products by empowering our local women and encouraging them to try new styles of sewing and hand work. With an aim to give women a strong foothold in the craft industry, the brand so far has been successful in providing over 200 women with employment opportunities by engaging them in the business of intricate hand embroidery that translates into sarees, shawls, and dupattas, cloth bags and quilts. The picture shows Shameera with her new samples of designer nighties. We hope to see the group busy with many orders.
