The final finished product is the key. We are delighted at the income-generating projects at our Centre. Currently, we have 15-25 women who meet at our Centre and have formed self-organized self-managed groups. We notice that once the group has completed their initial training they are managing themselves independently and helping others in their neighborhood by sharing their acquired skill. Our aim is to encourage women groups to gradually operate more independently with the goal of becoming a self-sustaining group that lasts beyond the program time frame. This approach will have an impact for decades and generations to come. At Sackhumvit we are aiming to become a platform for women to not only support each other financially but also raise awareness on important topics like education of children, health, and hygiene and act collectively to improve their lives and communities.
